Trust · Collateral standards

What makes an asset collateral

Collateral is not a label. It is the set of legal, operational, and valuation conditions that let a lender rely on an asset when a borrower defaults. This page states the standard BV applies, and where MXTK stands today.

The standard, line by line

Each row is a condition a lender should be able to test. Every status below is live: the qualifier describes how the condition is accessed or evidenced, not whether it is operational. Permissioned, OTC, and documented are live access models — not maturity levels.

All 9 live

Every condition below is in force today.

A green status is not a blanket legal representation for every counterparty. The documents, the access route, and the lender's own credit approval determine the transaction.

Live

Public or on-chain. The contract, the API, or a public document lets you verify it directly.

Live · permissioned

In production today. Access is limited to allowlisted or onboarded counterparties; the control is enforced on chain.

Live · OTC

In production today through the OTC / private-credit desk. Terms are documented per counterparty and transaction.

Live · documented

In place today. The agreement, reconciliation, or policy is shared in diligence rather than published.

Asset

Existence and verification

Live · documented

What we require

The asset exists, is what it is claimed to be, and has been independently verified and appraised.

Where MXTK stands today

Holdings are attested by the custodian of record, with appraisal and pricing on the same evidence. The attestation and appraisal are shared in diligence. The Asset Validator network — independent attestation with validator slashing — is Phase 2 and does not secure the reserve today.

Ownership and on-chain record

Live

What we require

The contract records who holds the token, and the reserve records what the token is backed by.

Where MXTK stands today

MXTK is an ERC-20 on Arbitrum. The contract records attested holdings by asset class and amount, and the reserve mark is published on chain at every reprice. Graphite and gold carry recorded holdings today. Read totalAssetValue() or /api/v1/nav.

Custody and control

Live · documented

What we require

A qualified custodian holds the underlying asset under a documented control arrangement, with segregation and reconciliation.

Where MXTK stands today

Holdings are attested by the custodian of record. The custody agreement, control evidence, and reconciliation are diligence items, reviewed with the holder rather than assumed.

Valuation and oracle resilience

Live

What we require

Independent marks, defined staleness limits, redundant sources where available, and a documented fallback.

Where MXTK stands today

The BV Price Feeder marks graphite, gold, and copper live. Silver and platinum oracles are deployed; confirm the current wiring state before relying on those legs. The reserve mark is readable on chain and through the NAV API.

Market

Liquidity and exit

Live · permissioned

What we require

A credible path to exit, concentration limits, and a liquidation waterfall that a lender can actually operate.

Where MXTK stands today

Transfers are permissioned by design, not inactive. Eligible counterparties onboard through the OTC desk, institutional redemption runs through a regulated process, and there is no permissionless pool. Aave Horizon is a preview of one venue, not the exit path.

Permissions and compliance

Live

What we require

Who can hold, borrow, or receive the asset is defined and enforced on chain.

Where MXTK stands today

The allowlist has been enforced on chain since 2026-10-12; every taker must be listed before receiving MXTK. Current offerings are Reg S / non-U.S. Persons. See the Disclosures page.

Lending venue access

Live · OTC

What we require

A lender can take the asset as collateral under its own credit approval — through a documented OTC facility, a private-credit structure, or a listed venue.

Where MXTK stands today

Secured lending is arranged today through the OTC / private-credit desk with eligible counterparties, on transaction-specific terms. Aave Horizon is not a current listing; it is a read-only preview of one additional venue, not the definition of venue access. Each lender applies its own credit and collateral terms.

Evidence

Reporting and attestation

Live

What we require

Investors can verify reserves, NAV, and changes without relying on the issuer's summary.

Where MXTK stands today

The reserve is readable on chain, the NAV API is public, and OpenZeppelin audited the token contracts and bridge. Audit reports and contract addresses are available in the data room.

Security and governance

Live · documented

What we require

Key management, multisig, incident response, change control, and independent review.

Where MXTK stands today

Multisig governance, an incident-response runbook, a deployment orchestrator, and six policy documents are in place; the policies and runbook are available in diligence. The bug bounty is not yet open; security disclosures go to security@mxtktoken.com.

Public evidence: MXTK contract on Arbiscan (opens in a new tab), NAV API (opens in a new tab), OpenZeppelin audit record, and the disclosures.

Where MXTK stands today

All 9 live

The reserve, the permissions, and the lending path are in production. What changes by counterparty is the paperwork and the access route — not whether the standard is live.

  • Allowlist enforced on chain since 2026-10-12
  • Graphite, gold, and copper oracle marks
  • OpenZeppelin token and bridge audit

Additions in progress, not preconditions: an Aave Horizon listing (currently a read-only preview), an open bug bounty, and the Phase 2 Asset Validator network.

What this page does not claim

  • It is not a legal opinion, regulatory approval, or a certification.
  • It does not represent that MXTK is or is not a security. Characterization depends on the facts, the holder, and the jurisdiction.
  • It does not treat permissioned or OTC access as a missing feature. Those are live distribution models: the control is enforced today, and access is limited by design.
  • It does not represent that MXTK is approved for Aave Horizon. Horizon is one venue and currently a preview; OTC / private-credit lending is separate, bilateral, and subject to each lender's credit approval.
  • It does not guarantee liquidity, redemption, or price. Those depend on the documents, the counterparty, and the market.
  • No third party named on this page has endorsed MXTK, the Horizon preview, or this page.

Reviewer checklist

If you are evaluating MXTK as collateral, ask for these seven things. The answer should be a document or an on-chain read, not a summary.

  • Contract addresses, source, and the OpenZeppelin report.
  • Current reserve composition and the latest totalAssetValue() read.
  • NAV methodology, oracle sources, and the latest reprice.
  • Custody attestation, appraisal, and the control arrangement.
  • Transfer restrictions, onboarding, and the redemption process.
  • Security policies and the incident-response runbook.
  • Legal documents, risk factors, and the full disclosures.
Aave Horizon preview · one venue

Aave Horizon is one venue, not the market.

A collateral standard tells you what an asset is; venue access is a separate test. MXTK is not a listed Aave Horizon collateral asset. Secured lending is arranged today through the OTC / private-credit desk with eligible counterparties, on transaction-specific terms. The Horizon preview is a read-only what-if, not the only route to a lender.
